To Fragrant Hills.
That sounded promising.
And here it came.
Not the subway.
Not a high-speed train.
A little train heading towards the hills.
GO.
Dad Looked Down
Yellow.
Orange.
Brown.
Dad stopped.
Click.
Autumn under Dad’s feet.
Then Dad Looked Up
Oh.
😂
There it was.
Orange overhead.
Red between the branches.
Blue sky peeking through.
And cameras everywhere.
Dad included.

Dad came looking for Beijing’s autumn colours…
and ended up reading about mountains from around the world. 😂

Find some trees.
Walk beneath them.
Look at the ground.
