But don’t stop at the famous army of clay soldiers.
Walk the ancient city wall. Visit the museums. Explore the archaeological sites.

Beijing and Xi’an make a wonderful first introduction to China—but they aren’t the only choices.
If you have time for another destination, think about what you actually want from your trip, rather than simply adding another famous city.
